Chairman's Report 2001

Despite the recent foot and mouth restrictions and watchkeepers having to decontaminate prior to crossing fields to the station we have had a busy summer. The delayed rebuild finally began and watches have been maintained throughout the period using the temporary shed with all it's limitations ! Our " new " station should be operational early in November giving us time to get used to greater visual coverage. New watchkeeping procedures may be needed to cover the wider view of the Salcombe Estuary.

Fundraising activities continue with success, wholly due to the diligence and enthusiasm of those who, as Watchkeepers, give their time so generously to NCI and Prawle Point in particular, making it a Station to be proud of. Jon Gifford
