Friends Of Prawle Point 2001 report
The August Summer Fair was a success despite (or because of?) the thick, rainy mist at Prawle which made all our posters trickle. Our provisional booking of the Community Hall gave us a very attractive alternative; the villagers and holidaymakers still found their way to us and bought up everything in sight - including the last remaining dates in Faye's diary, and we raised about £455 net She had sold a good many the previous day on the Quay at the Charities' Fair where Pandora's Box was opened to raise extra funds. We had wonderful help from Derrick and Jean Yeoman who provided super efficient service with the teas. As a result of these activities, we have been able to give a further £800 to NCI Prawle Point making a total of £1,800 for this year so far. Jane Shadbolt Jan 1011 |
