John Erskine
John Erskine The flag at Prawle Point flew at half mast in fond memory of our friend and colleague John Erskine who died suddenly on September 26. John was a hugely popular member of the NCI team and worked tirelessly for a cause he believed in deeply. He joined Prawle Point as a watchkeeper right from the start in l998 and also volunteered his services to the organisation at a national level. His considerable talents were quickly recognised and he was given responsibility for NCI Shorewatch, the national support group He was invited on to the board of trustees where he became involved in major changes taking place at top level. John's sense of fun and boundless enthusiasm for life has endeared him to many and he will be greatly missed. He was married to Faye for more than 40 years and they have a daughter Katharine, son John and two grandsons. We offer the family our heartfelt condolences and thank Faye for her staunch and loving support which enabled John to devote his energies to the on-going success of NCI and to become the lynch-pin of our organisation.
