Spider Encounter

A watchkeeper had a shock, when he was bitten by a spider. The spider came to an unfortunate end, after meeting the wrong side of a shoe.

The flattened spider accompanied by the watchkeeper, were sent to the local hospital. After a phonecall to Guy's Toxicology unit, it was thought that he would survive, but the Spider was a forigner, as native spiders "do not bite".

The spider has not been identified, due to complications during the autopsy (the flattened nature of the corpse!)

The watchkeeper reports that he has recovered fully, and a thorough search of the lookout has revealed no more aliens. However the spider's native relatives continue to do a sterling job, in keeping the airborne insect population at a reasonable level.
